What birds are being looked for?

The Audio Recording Units allow the oil sands industry to look for many different boreal songbirds and owls. There are many common species that help indicate songbird habitat use and biodiversity. Some of the important species of concern that the oil sands industry monitors are the Canadian warbler, yellow rail and rusty blackbird.
